On the move

Arthur has had a long, hard think about it and decided - despite the flash new shoes - that crawling is not for him.Definitely not.
Especially when you can get a Pappy Piggyback...
Or a ride in Dad's backpack.
Actually, he's turned out to be a 'Bum -shuffler'. Nothing wrong with that - both Mum (Libby) and Aunty Emily did the same and look how they turned out!
We have just had the most gorgeous weekend away. It was supposed to be a surprise trip for G'Marg's birthday but you can't keep anything from her! We arrived in Whangaimoana, near Palliser Bay, on Friday evening and had a fantastic time, exploring, strolling along beaches, climbing up the Palliser Bay Lighthouse, watching the boats being towed in at Ngawi, eating cake, eating, and eating some more. Just don't mention the rugby.

Spot the seals.
Eating cake at Ngawi - a cute-as fishing village where crayfish fall from the sky.

Thanks for the new hat, Granny Ro. It was much appreciated when the rain hit. If you squint, you might just be able to see G'Marg and Pappy walking off into the storm. We met them at the Lake Ferry pub an hour later. Hehe.

The Cape Palliser Lighthouse. Steep stairs. Shakey legs. Burning chests. But not for Arthur, no.

The view from the top. G'Marg and Frank are down there somewhere throwing rocks in the water. Plop!

Happy Birthday for the 15th, G'Marg!!!!!

And a few older shots of the stars of the show...

Two more teeth on their way as we speak...

Thanks again for a wonderful weekend - it was really great to spend this special time with you especially with the perpetual chatterbox and the bum shuffler & shelf re-organiser. We have some wonderful memories and these great photos. As I was 'not allowed into the kitchen' I felt very spoilt- it was fantastic. Love to you all xxx
