Hollar-days!
We're back from TWO WEEKS holiday! Two whole weeks of family, friends, loads of sunshine time, hail fights, a party, wine, games and down right fun.
We headed to Auckland to begin with to meet up with Uncle Hamish and Aunty Priscilla (over from LA). Great Aunty Pam kindly lent us her home and we had a wonderful time catching up with family and exploring Auckland.
One of the highlights was the party to celebrate G'Marg and Pappy's 4oth wedding anniversary. It was beautiful and we'd like to say congratulations again. Hopefully we will nick some of H and P's photos from the party to post next time.
After that we had a few days in Matarangi. It was completely deserted so we had the entire beach to ourselves. The Roses came to play too and the little boys ran around with their hoodies pulled up, getting up to all sorts of mischief.
Once we left the stylish bach, it was off on a Boys Fissshing Mission for Dougal and Hamish and their entourage, while the rest of us headed to Tauranga. Granny Ro moves to Wellington in a week so the house was full of boxes - how exciting!!!
Sorry this is a bit rushed. There are a million things I could write but I just wanted to get some photos up as the next few days are going to be really busy.
Hope you're all well!

Matthew took the boys to check out his trucks - yeeha!
Map Boy and his Mum at the Zoo.
Uncle Hamish gets inaugurated into the world of the Cars movie.
Deciding which way to go...

Thank you all for the wonderful time we had together. It really was the best. It was super to see so many family and friends and to have some special beach time together too. You are a great family and we appreciate and love you all. xxx
Ah yes, 'Cars'. Good old Pixar - both a blessing and a curse. Fortunately their movies are good enough to be able to sit through them a few (hundred) times.
In our house the favourite scene is 'big trucks fall down' i.e. the bit where Mata (oh yeah, I know ALL the characters...) scares the tractors and they fall over. Oh, the hilarity which results each time this happens and the joy we all share each and every time we see a truck and all have to repeat 20,000 times 'Big truck fall down. Dadda? Dadda? Big truck fall down. Dadda? Dadda? Big truck fall down.'
Meanwhile, my attempts to explain that they are, in fact, tractors and not trucks are dismissed with the scorn they deserve.
Most moments of the day our house echoes to fights and squabbles over who has current possession of 'red car' and why they shouldn't.
Thankfully blue car ('big crash blue car') takes some pressure off - which is good as yellow car ('there was a yellow car?'- me) seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur long ago.
Still, it could be worse. At least they don't like the Wiggles anymore...
