The Great Outdoors

A mad rush of blogs to catch you up on some of our recent adventures before you're inundated with Frank's First Day of School and his parties...
The Big Day Out in Auckland. Rain, huge crowds, amazing music.

Watch out for Arthur's adult teeth.

We took the boys for an overnight tramp along the Orongaronga Track in the Rimutakas. The little beauties walked 2 1/2 hours each day and, when you look at Arf's wee legs, it's hard to believe they ran a large portion of the way.

A river crossing to get to our hut.

Jans Hut. Choice.

We then had a night at Waiterere Beach with Jeff, Alison and Jeff. Donuts on the beach, 'icebergs' and way too much to eat. A place we'll definitely return to.
Alex, Frank, Isaac and Arf.

Then we headed to Taupo for a few nights camping with The Roses and Stu. Luxurious camping ground with a lovely pool and wicked playground, and there's always heaps of cool stuff to do in Taupo. We headed to Spa Park, Huka Falls and had several dips in the lake which feels warm compared to Wellington waters.

Frank and Alex.

Arf and Isaac lead the way.

The Frank-ness Monster.

Stu puts Arf in his place.

Donuts with Gav at the camp ground.
Our love and thoughts of strength go out to our family and friends, and every one else affected by the Chch earthquake. We have room if you want a cosy bed xxx

Wonderful photos of some terrific family times. Wellington is lucky to be having a late, great summer and we are pleased that you have taken the opportunity to get out and catch up with friends.
We too feel for everyone affected by the Christchurch earthquake.
Lots of love xxx
