Re-treat

Cheeky fellas

Frank (4 1/2) and Arf (nearly 3)

Waikanae Beach on Sunday morning

Crazy Shadow Family

Frank captaining his 'ship'

Dougal and Arf head down the beach.

You can't keep Frank out of the water, no matter how cold it is.

The boys head off on a bike ride.

And a piggy back ride.

No training wheels for this fella.

We decided we needed a weekend away and headed back up to Waikanae Beach with our bikes and togs for the night. We ticked off everything on our wish list of things to do (apart from sleeping in): beach walks, bike rides, icecream (Arf), playground, as well as discovering a 'ship' washed up on the beach in the form of a log and Frank never wanted to leave...

Arf's sick and is refusing to take his antibiotics. Never has a boy been so stubborn. Disguising it in chocolate milk worked this time. In less than two weeks, he turns THREE. How did that happen?
Frank's loving kindy and inventing huge games which are amazing to watch - not that he lets you be an innocent bystander for long. He was a taniwha in his kindy play which was super cute.

We need to post some photos of our sleep out to entice more visitors...

Super to see you are all having such fun. We wish you could have been enjoying the California sunshine and warm water as we have been. Looking to catching up with the birthday boy and his family on Sunday! Lol xxx
