Son-ny days
Phoebe (and who knows what Frank's doing!)
Frank is turning into a right little blondie with all this sun (let's forget about the hail and thunder storm which struck Wellington earlier this week...) but Arthur's hair is still dark and, well, there.
We headed up to Napier last weekend to check out Aunty Emily's new pad and had a wonderful time - apart from on the way there when Frank had his worst ever tantrum as we wound our way over The Rimutaka's. Dougal made a slightly bad choice when he reverted to the popular parent saying of, 'If you don't stop that, you can get out and walk.' Frank decided that sounded great and whimpered, 'Walk. Frank walk. Walk. Walk!' and built it back up to an almighty crescendo. Oops. Arthur slept through it.
It's been a lovely two weeks with the Napier trip, playing outside in the sun, catching up with friends and seeing Arthur become more and more responsive. He's a right little chatter-box and has the most contagious smile.
A big thanks to G'Marg and Pappy for babysitting last night so we could go out for dinner and see The phoenix Foundation play - they were impressive. As a result, I'm hanging out to go to bed and catch up on some sleep so will leave you with the pictures...

What a great weekend we have just had weather-wise! It was super to catch up with the little List family when we did the baby-sitting thing; both little boys were very good and we had a lot of fun with them both. Arthur, smiling, talking, and chatting to all who will engage. Frank as always on the go, go go! Lovely to see the photos of 3 boys in bed having stories on Sunday morning - brings back some wonderful memories. Good also to see the Napier photos - what a great weekend you all had together - tantrums on the way excepted! Lots of love.xxx
Great to hear you had a night out to see Phoenix Foundation!

Dear little lads! Hey Frankie, that was a great version of a train... Your imagination works overtime. It was a lovely weekend in Napier and you did well, Libby and Dougal, on your first big trip with TWO sons!
Arthur is such a delight smiling and chatting so much at only 6 weeks old. So looking forward to seeing you all again soon. xxxx
Frank wanting to walk reminds me of my nephew Mark when aged about 2. My sister Helen lived on quite a busy steep road and once threatened him with being taken to hospital in an ambulance to encourage him to be careful of the traffic speeding past.
Yeah you guessed, he thought that it would be really cool to ride in an ambulance with the siren going.
I'm enjoying all the stories about the boys.
Love Chris.
