Home
Again this will be short as I am typing one handed trying to settle an Arthur who thinks he is hungry, which is prety much any time that he is awake at the moment.
Anyway, at last we are HOME! Me, Libby and the kids, the boys, Frank and Arthur, Tiger and Champ. Very good feeling and pretty cool to be able to say "the boys" or "the kids".
Got home yesterday at 5.30pm after some serious mucking around in the hospital. Had G'Marg and Pappy over for dinner and a bottle of 1995 Drapier 2000 champayne - mmmmm-hmmmm. Mighty fine wedding present that we have been sitting on for such a special occasion.
After a restless night or trying to get Arthur into some form of routine we had to go and get his kidney scan. Basically the right kidney is a bit dodgey (which we knew) and therefore more tests are required - which we also knew. So not much change there and it will be monitored for a while in case this changes. We also knew this. So basically, no point in worrying. Often these come right with no interference from medical people and chances are anyone over the age of 15 is walking around with one kidney and does not know it cos this has only been something that can be tested for since ultrasound really got well refined.
In any case, we are not worrying about this as he is super cute and starting to develop real personality. Once we get a routine sorted we will be laughing, until then, bags under the eyes.
Frank is taking this all very well too, pretty fascintated by Arthur and gives him kisses all the time.

Hi Arthur,
Welcome to the List clan. You look a pretty fine specimen if I may say. We did enjoy wetting your head with Dad and Mum's finest champagne. I'm sure you will be well looked after by your big brother Frank. I look forward to the play times but not the nappy times.
Hugs and snugs xx
OOOOwwwwww indeed. What a lovely little man and what a head of hair - who is his stylist? Funny that two of my Mum's brothers were Arthur and Frank. Arthur (born 1894) lived to nearly ninety, Frank (born 1896) was killed in the 1st World War in Belgium. Good looking pair, must send you a photo. Family, brothers, sons and mothers, the ties that bind and keep us happy captives - so glad your little family is home and well - love and best regards, Maggie
