Busy busy busy

Busy sleeping (Zizzy's doing her best to keep Frank's hands warm)

Busy partying (Iris had her first birthday party and Frank was invited)

Busy being doted on by Aunty Milz

Busy learning to swim with Dad

Yes, it's a hard life being a baby what with all that learning to do, new tricks to master (this week it's been blowing raspberries), people to meet, places to see... but 16 weeks old and Frank is taking it all in his stride.

Frank, Libby, Emily and Zizzy (the cat) hung out together in Napier for a few days. The weather was so bad that the best place to be was inside by the heater but he still managed a couple of walks on the beach and a jaunt into town.

He also had his first visit to the zoo - but he slept the entire time. The animals must have been spooked because it was a coffee group outing with 10 or so mums and babies oohing and aahing.

Frankie's first swim with Dad was pretty special. He smiled and smiled and smiled then checked to see if Mum was watching - of course she was! Check out the super cute togs in the photo...

Hi from Frank and thanks to those who publish a comment!

Beach Bum

Hey all - Frank and te Whanau headed out to the beach for the long weekend at Maungakuri. Some sun, a full day of rain, then a full day of southerlies...at least got some walks in on the beach - lucky for storm covers.

A few snaps of the adventure.

Frank hanging out with Isla in their boat when she came to visit with Ma Lani and Pa Jamie.

Frank models the latest in father-beach wear.

They had a bath! So Frank and Pa played see how much water we can get from the bath to the floor. Check that muscle tone! (the plunket nurse sure was - she reckoned he had a cute bum and was a baby with the "X-factor"!)

Speaking of Plunket - this is Frank gearing up for a trip to the local centre on a chilly Welly day. He is now 6.5kg and behaving like a 5 month old apparently...

Being such a big and mature lad we have moved him into his cot! Still a bit of room to grow luckily...

Three months!

Frank gets a cool prezzie from Granny Ro

Reading already

Kate, Aunty Milz and Granny Ro - and Frank, of course.

Frank with Aunty Milz

Frank had a brilliant time with some of The Macbrayne side of the family last weekend - all these rellies, how does he keep up? He had a sleep in with his Aunty, was inundated with cuddles and presents from his Granny, sung to by Kate and met Great Aunt Alison and Great Uncle Terry for the first time. Yes, he slept well on Monday!

Mum and Dad got to go out on Saturday night while Granny Ro babysat. It was great but the favourite topic of conversation seemed to be Frank all evening... Funny that.

Frank had his second lot of shots this week and even managed a smile for the nurse afterwards (but has been a bit grumpy since). A weekend away should fix that.

Have a fabulous long weekend everybody and thanks for the comments. We get lots of emails about the blog but not many of you are posting them - don't be scared! Let me know if you need help doing so...
