Son-ny days

Yo diggety. Arthur the rap-star.

Another Cheeky Monkey.

Sunday morning storytime in bed.

Iris

Phoebe (and who knows what Frank's doing!)

Emma, Frank and Sue (multi-tasking mother, indeed).

Another version of a Frank-train.

Milz, Ro and Frank in Napier.

Frank is turning into a right little blondie with all this sun (let's forget about the hail and thunder storm which struck Wellington earlier this week...) but Arthur's hair is still dark and, well, there.

We headed up to Napier last weekend to check out Aunty Emily's new pad and had a wonderful time - apart from on the way there when Frank had his worst ever tantrum as we wound our way over The Rimutaka's. Dougal made a slightly bad choice when he reverted to the popular parent saying of, 'If you don't stop that, you can get out and walk.' Frank decided that sounded great and whimpered, 'Walk. Frank walk. Walk. Walk!' and built it back up to an almighty crescendo. Oops. Arthur slept through it.

It's been a lovely two weeks with the Napier trip, playing outside in the sun, catching up with friends and seeing Arthur become more and more responsive. He's a right little chatter-box and has the most contagious smile.

A big thanks to G'Marg and Pappy for babysitting last night so we could go out for dinner and see The phoenix Foundation play - they were impressive. As a result, I'm hanging out to go to bed and catch up on some sleep so will leave you with the pictures...

Art

Frank's Art

Arthur at five weeks. Knuckle sandwich?

Frank's first nap in The Big Bed

We'd thought maybe Arthur would be called Art for short - but 'Arf' or 'R-fa' seem to be more popular at the moment. Anyway, he's GORGEOUS and doing superbly well. He'll be six weeks this Thursday (8 Nov).

Frank has been great - most of the time. He's just started to twig that when Mum's feeding Arthur, much fun can be had, hence the art work on the wall of our bedroom. Hmmmmm. He had his first sleep in his big bed today - and somehow ended up squashed against the wall! We're very proud of him.

We'll keep it short as we're off to Napier at the weekend so there will be loads more photos to come...
